Hey Ma, we’re on TV!

The RDR Road Runner was featured on the Lokar Car Show TV show on Velocity channel a couple of weeks ago. We didn’t find out until after it had aired, but we do have a link to the episode on YouTube. The segment begins at minute 8:20, and runs through 9:50.

Redneck MONDAY!!!!!!!! Merry F-UN Christmas!

You have been waiting patiently, itching for the day that RDR would release their epic holiday greeting. Well, here it is, in all its awkward glory. You’re Welcome. We know you don’t get enough uncomfortable moments while you at your in-laws…..

The Road to Vegas: An Epic Journey Part 1

Now that we have had time for some R&R (Recovery and Reflection) I want to take the next several days to share our epic journey with the ’69 Roadrunner to Vegas and the granddaddy of all the shows SEMA. Along the way, we hit a lot of bumps and overcame many obstacles and I found […]

SEMA Day 3 Recap

Today, we spent some time looking at cool new products, and by far, the coolest thing we saw was the Berserker active shock management system from Viking Performance. This changes the game for all the non-active suspension system cars that road race. The Berserker is a derivative of a more complex military application, allowing the […]

SEMA 2013 Day 2 recap!

There was a convention center, a lot of cars, and a bunch people. Yeah, that about sums it up. After the show closed, however, things got interesting. The Red Dirt Rodz crew, along with some of the Motorama Live folks, went to have some dinner at Vamp’d, Danny Coker’s restaurant club, where we caught a […]

Day 1 of SEMA Recap

Today was the first day of 4 long-ass days. With a crowd around it all day, the Roadrunner has bottlenecked traffic on the sidewalk. We will soon have a full feature on the Roadrunner, but that will come later. The day began with the New Products Awards, with Dave McClelland as MC. The voice of […]

Red Dirt Rodz Crashes Count’s Kustoms in Vegas

The RDR crew had the pleasure of being invited to check out the facilities at Count’s Kustoms in Las Vegas. I have to say it is quite expansive. The grounds cover several buildings, with some really cool builds in progress. They even had some of my personal favorites from the show on site, including the […]

The Roadrunner is Officially on the SEMA Show Grounds!

After a nightmare build, the 1969 Roadrunner is at the biggest automotive industry event of the year. Over the next few days we will be posting from the SEMA Show about all the cool stuff we see, plus telling you all about the difficulties of getting this car put together and out to Vegas. Here […]

Carl Edwards Drives Henry Ford’s 1901 Sweepstakes Race Car

The Ford Motor Company has such an interesting history, and the beginnings were rocky at best. After his first car company went belly up, Henry Ford needed a way to drum up interest in his automobiles. Coupled with engineer Ed Spider Huff, they built 1901 Sweepstakes and raced it. No one thought they could win, […]

Ford Makes Good

This week Ford brought me to Detroit for their 2014 model lineup event, and I have to tell you, I am impressed. Through vertical integration and Ford’s One-Design idealogy, the latest offerings from Ford not only share powertrain options, but all of the cars share some similar features, so that you know it’s a Ford. […]
